THE SHARKS

The shark, bloodthirsty predator or victim of a bad reputation?

Unlike the image conveyed by the cinema, the shark is not a big eater since an individual of 100 kg consumes only between 1 and 3 kilos per week!

WHITE BEARS

Why host a couple of polar bears on the Côte d'Azur?

The polar bears that have been in Marineland since 2010 are part of a European breeding program for threatened species (EEP). Their living space and the special attention paid by their caretakers respond so well to their needs that we had a birth in November 2014! A beautiful animal adventure that we like to share with you.

THE PENGUINS

Do we find penguins on the French territory?

Few people know, but two of the three species present at Marineland (the Rockhopper Penguin and the King Penguin) live on the Kerguelen and Crozet Islands, that is to say on the French territory!

Marineland is indeed the first park in the world to have had loggerhead turtle breeding. Since 2010, several baby turtles have been born thanks to the special attention of the aquarium team! There are 16 species of sea lions in the world. Discover the largest of them whose male can reach a ton! In this extraordinary sea lion, sexual dimorphism is particularly marked since females only weigh 300 kg!
