Above 1.48 m at the withers, we no longer speak of a pony but a horse.

Today there are about 90 breeds that developed naturally and then artificially from wild horses. Ponies live in groups of 3 to 10 individuals led by a stallion. After 11 months of gestation, the pony gives birth to a single baby who can follow her after only 1 hour and she nurses for 6 to 7 months. Their longevity is 25 years. They are herbivores and eat grass, hay, grains and carrots which they love. They are smart and friendly and are used for driving or riding and we make brushes with their hair!
