There are several species of this small domestic pig.

Pigs are very intelligent animals, which can live between 10 and 20 years and feed on everything they find, plants, animals or rubbish (they were used to clean the streets of Paris in the 12th century). After 4 months of gestation, females can have 1 to 12 young that they nurse for 3 to 4 months. Pigs are bred mainly in Asia (especially in China), Europe and North America. Dwarf Pigs are cross-bred to serve as pets or for medical research
